This Privacy Policy explains how CityPlanner collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the City Planner iOS application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Apple’s App Store Guidelines.

Information We Collect

We collect information only to provide and improve the App's core functionalities.

a. Location Data
With your explicit permission, the App accesses your precise or approximate location (GPS data) via Apple's CoreLocation framework. This data is strictly used locally and dynamically to discover nearby activities and generate travel itineraries. We do not track you continuously, and your location history is not stored on our external servers.

b. Profile Information
You may voluntarily provide your Name, Surname, and Email address within the App's profile section. Currently, this data is stored locally on your device (via SwiftData/iCloud). In the future, if account creation is implemented (e.g., via Apple or Google Sign-In), this data will be securely processed to manage your account.

c. Usage and Analytics Data
We use third-party services to understand how the App is used and to improve your experience:

Google Analytics / Firebase: Collects anonymized usage data (e.g., screens visited, crash reports, app sessions) to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
RevenueCat: Used strictly to process in-app subscriptions and manage your premium status. It collects anonymized transaction IDs but does not process your credit card information.

How We Use Your Information

To provide the core functionality of the App (displaying nearby places).
To generate AI-powered travel itineraries.
To manage your premium subscription access.
To analyze App performance and fix technical issues.
To respond to your support requests.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share necessary, anonymized data with specific service providers to operate the App:

OpenAI (ChatGPT API): To generate personalized travel itineraries, the App sends your location coordinates (or chosen city) and your selected interests to OpenAI. No personally identifiable information (such as your name or email) is ever sent to OpenAI. OpenAI's data processing is governed by their own privacy policy and API terms, which prohibit using this API data to train their public models.
Google (Places API & Maps): Used to fetch real-time data about locations, opening hours, and reviews based on geographic coordinates.
RevenueCat & Apple: For processing and verifying App Store subscriptions. All financial data is handled securely by Apple.

4. Data Storage and Security

Currently, your saved trips, favorite places, and profile data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you use iCloud, this data may be synced across your devices according to your Apple ID settings. We do not maintain a central database of your private app activity.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time by going to your iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > City Planner.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features (such as mandatory account creation). We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy or via an in-app notification.
